I know that I will not be the only one who first took up photography as a way of being able to beautifully document the everyday lives of their children. I started off with a point and shoot but quickly upgraded to a DSLR and have never looked back. But when I first started out I was greatly confused by all the choice out there about which camera to buy, and which lens I needed - and whether any of this was really going to make my pictures any better! After a lot of research, I found exactly what I was looking for and I've been thrilled with the results.
I've written a few posts over on my blog which aims to help other moms, like me, who want to get into photography but are not sure where to start when looking at all the camera gear available. Hopefully you'll find these helpful....
