My 9 year old is lazy when it comes to brushing his teeth. It's not that he doesn't want to brush, the issue is he's too gentle and when I tell him to scrub a little harder, he complains his arm hurts. He brushes softly and doesn't go near his gums, so most mornings I take a look and send him marching back to the bathroom to brush his teeth again. I bought him automatic toothbrushes for that purpose, but it hasn't made the process easier.

When I told him I would be using his teeth as as example for this blog post, he was ecstatic because he would rather me scrape the tarter off than his dentist. Before I even attempted to use this, I made sure to get the approval from his dentist first, because I didn't want to damage his teeth in any way.
