Thursday's Sweetest Things - Bitter Sweet

Rocker Option #2 Pictures, Images and PhotosTonight as I put my 3 year old to bed, I realized that I do not have to rock him to sleep anymore. How did that happen smoothly?! As I finished my little happy dance, I was overcome with a bitter sweet feeling. I have rocked both of my boys in the same rocking chair for all of these years (5 years to be exact). I rocked my oldest until he was 2 1/2 and my youngest until recently at the age of 3. I longed for the day when I could just tuck them both into bed without rocking them to sleep. I remember some nights I had to rock them for an hour of more..sometimes even rocking myself to sleep:) Now, I find myself missing that special quality time that I had with my boys, after many long stressful days at work and after not getting to spend much time with them during the week because I got home so late from work. A time to snuggle and cuddle until they fell asleep in my arms. Rocking my baby boys was a very Sweet Thing:)
