The NHS has been facing ever-increasing pressures in recent years, with slashed budgets, staff shortages and lack of resources taking its toll on the quality of care. One of the many ways we commonly see the impact of these pressures is in waiting times for GP…

How to Through A Larger Than Life Small Wedding on a Budget

This one is as simple as crowdfunding your honeymoon. It might sound strange at first, but do you really need another blender or set of dinner plates? Instead of having your guests purchase a bunch of things you’ll end up trying to return anyway, why not let them chip in for…

When I read some generalisations like: men can’t multitask or women can’t read a map, I feel like retorting, "but I know this amazing girl, she will beat any man in using compass and finding hidden treasures".

That is true.

These generalisations do not take into consideration one important factor. We all have both feminine and masculine traits.

We are all both men and women at the same time.

And if you take this argument one step further, it turns out that women who nurture masculine traits will succeed in the man’s world.  Remember: Margaret Thatcher. And men who nurture feminine traits succeed in creative fields.

The masculine dimension is – strength/weakness. Men do.

The feminine dimension is – goodness/badness. Women feel.

Masculine energy is self-centred while feminine energy cares and nurtures.

If masculine and feminine energy are not in harmony, we witness distortions. For example, a lot of strength with no goodness – wars; a lot of goodness that is weak – a woman who accepts domestic violence against herself and children.

So if you feel out of balance with your inner man, you have to nurture your masculine traits.

Masculine traits are nurtured by taking control, initiative and active part, while the best way to practice the feminine traits are nurtured by volunteering for charities, practicing love and compassion and caring for animals and children.

As the masculine side is more interested in doing than feeling, it is important to think about ethics of the actions and their consequences.

If your inner woman needs to be taken care of, think about nurturing feminine traits.

As the feminine traits are expressed in giving and selfless acts of care and nurturing Femininity is recognised for being kind, compassionate, patient and responsive to the needs of others.

However those who are more feminine, have to be wise because being feminine includes knowing how much energy you can put into giving without hurting yourself by draining your own energy. Otherwise the inability to say “no” makes you too vulnerable for people who might take advantage of you.

Sometimes feminine traits are more subtle and easier to forget, that is why I have developed a list of 100 ways to nurture your inner woman. Check it out on http://theninjawife.com/pamper-yourself/
