So I have been telling myself for the last 3 or 4 months that when Mason turns a year old I am going to ween him off breastfeeding...Well his birthday is in 11 days and I am pretty certain it isn't going to happen. Keep in mind, my son has had one bottle in his entire life and resented it. It has been strictly the breast since he was 10 minutes old. He drinks out of a sippy cup and straw fine. Loves water and juice. He didn't seem to mind whole milk when I gave it to him. But, my boob is his go-to lovie. He never had a pacifier, HATES stuffed animals and never had a blankie or anything of the sort. He just didn't want a thing to do with any of that! Even though I didn't plan on doing the whole attachment parenting thing. I am and I have been following that parenting style since he was born. At the hospital (which is in a hippie town in Vermont, good thing I had a long labor it was an almost hour drive!) he was placed directly on me, slept with me in my hospital bed the whole nine! That's the way it still is. I have loved it don't get me wrong but I kind of want my night's to myself and the hubster and my boobies back to myself. But then again, I love that time with Mason and I love that I am always his go-to gal.
THE DEBATE CONTINUES!
