Safety Tips to Prevent Your Dream Pool from Becoming a Nightmare

Whether it’s a cosy hot tub, a full-sized pool or something in between, having a private place to take a dip at home is one of life’s greatest luxuries. There is little that compares to shrugging off the day’s troubles with a few relaxing laps or a good book and the gentle massage of…

OUR DAILY PINS

So, lately I have done a lot of ranting on frickinmom.com. It is CRAZY what a little ranting will do! Four years ago we purchased a Richmond American home. We loved the house for about 2 hours. Within the first night, we noticed some problems with our new house. Our bedroom was freezing and we could feel cold air blowing around the window.

Within a short amount of time our roof started leaking, our driveway fell apart, our fireplace blew cold air into our house, and we had wiring issues (among many other things).

When we approached Richmond American, they gave us lip service on why these items were not covered under the warranty. We spent a lot of time trying to get our home repaired through Richmond American, but eventually gave up.

Four years later, I ranted on frickinmom.com. Guess what happened? I got a lot of comments from home owners with similar problems. Before long, ABC 4 News contacted me and conducted an investigation. (It airs Monday, March 1 at 10:00 p.m. Mountain Time.) When Richmond American caught wind of this, they were ALL ABOUT fixing my house.

There is a really great Director of Construction (Poli Peters) that works there. He came to my house with a clipboard and promised to fix all outstanding issues.

Although I am told their action has nothing to do with my blog, I highly doubt it. I am SO glad I am an avid mommy blogger, and am excited about the big payoff. Yay for blogs, yay for mommy bloggers, and yay for our community!

You women are AWESOME!
