Toby the Doggie, Your Child’s guide to caring for their dog

How many times do we as parents think, “Man, why couldn’t this child have come with an instruction manual?!”  Instead, all too often, we are left playing the parental guessing game with occasional advice from friends and family.

Now, what about when a new dog or pet joins your family?  We all know the saying, “Dogs are man’s best friend”.  In my experience the same holds true for children.  The family dog quickly becomes your child’s best friend.  Just as you felt when your child came into your family, so sometimes a child is left to wonder, what in the world am I supposed to do with this dog?  Okay, so sometimes they don’t “wonder”. They poke, they prod, they feed the new doggie all sorts of yummy people food, etc., all in an effort to find out exactly what this doggie is all about.

What to do?  This is where the new book Toby the Doggie comes in.  Toby the Doggie is an e-book written specifically for children.  Step into a day in the life of Toby the Doggie.  Join him during his doggie day and you’ll learn that dogs love to dig in the dirt, play with his pooch pals, and eat yummy food.

The author, Sandy Fries, has done a wonderful job creating a simple, yet entertaining book for parents to enjoy with their children.  I laughed more than once while reading.  I love the “illustrations”, too!  The illustrations are actually photographs of Sandy Fries’ beautiful dog, Toby.

While the story is cute, well written, and fun to look at, it is the last several pages that really make this book unique.  Included at the end of the e-book is a special section of 7 activity pages to help kids learn to care for their dog.  They’ll also learn fun dog facts, helpful tips, and, at the very end of the book, they’ll receive a “Toby Club” diploma.

This e-book is such a cute way for your kids to learn how to take care of their dogs!  For those who don’t have dogs, your kids will enjoy reading about all the fun things Toby love to do. Be careful, though, as one reviewer said, if you don’t already have dogs you’re child is definitely going to want one after reading about Toby’s fun times! :)   And, really, for the price, you can’t go wrong.

Toby the Doggie e-book can be purchased from Amazon.com or Barnesandnoble.com for only $2.99.  If you don’t have a kindle or nook you can download the book to your computer or cell phone using a free kindle reading app.
