In the beginning I was going to write this post for Mama Kat’s Writer’s Workshop, but I missed the boat. Truth be told, I did some farming yesterday and didn’t have the chance. I need to get ahead of this stuff! Anyway, I have to post this story because it’s a good one and I couldn’t just scrap it because I missed the linkup.
Thanksgiving-ish 2008 no wait…2007…I think
Everybody knows what Black Friday is right? Okay, well if you don’t, count yourself lucky because you will never bankrupt yourself in a sleepless stupor as you elbow people in the face. Hooray!
2007 was the first year I participated in the craziness because Jodi (my very dearest friend who is a terrible influence and I wouldn’t have it any other way) made me. Just so you kind of get an idea of what I mean, I save my big ticket purchases for when we are together. For instance, this past weekend I bought a car while she was here. What?! Back to the topic at hand. We planned it out for months. Our battlefield mapout. Our strategies. Our code-talk. Then we decided that it was imperative that we involve our husbands because we would need the muscle for carrying stuff. Obviously.
