What are the objectives of CoolSculpting?

People across the globe are struggling with stubborn fat deposits in certain areas of your body. Simple dieting and rigorous exercise does not help get rid of such fat adding to frustration. A number of people have turned to the many options available for fat elimination and one such procedure is CoolSculpting.

What can be achieved with CoolSculpting?

It is a non-invasive procedure for fat reduction which uses the method of controlled cooling. The procedure is cleared by the FDA and it can be used for fat reduction in various parts of the body like your buttocks, back, sides, abdomen, chin and thighs. The procedure is done in several countries today but there might be restrictions on which body part it can be used for in different countries.

The procedure works by permanently getting rid of the extra fat cells in your body and not simply shrinking the fat cells like other weight loss programs. To be an ideal candidate for CoolSculpting, you must be within 30 pounds of your ideal weight. You should also want to only target a few areas of your body. You must visit a specialist to determine your candidacy further. Once you qualify for the procedure, it will be customized for you depending on the area of the body you wish to get treated and the number of treatments you will require to achieve your results.

How is CoolSculpting performed?

During your CoolSculpting procedure, you will lie down while the doctor places the cooling device on the area to be treated. The cooling will not affect the surrounding tissue. The fat cells collapse and shrink and get eliminated naturally by your body. Since the fat cells are frozen and are consumed by the other body cells, you will begin noticing your CoolSculpting results within one to three months.

CoolSculpting is a safe treatment, but some patients may suffer from a few side effects. These include mild pulling sensation, bruising and tightness. When the procedure is performed on the chin area, you may notice a feeling of fullness in the throat. If any of these symptoms persist, you must see your doctor at once.
