Weekday mornings in December are difficult. There is a lot going on with the holidays; band concerts, choral concerts, basketball practice, days full of shopping. All of this increased activity leads to “hard to wake up” mornings. The couple of extra hours of sleep attained on the weekend just aren’t enough to make it through the week.

This “hard to wake up in the morning” syndrome affects Hunter the most. She really isn’t a morning person. If left on her own, she would sleep until 8:00 or even 9:00, but then she would be fully awake and functional. Not so much during the school week.
