I got dressed!  Like, not yoga pants, a sweatshirt and pony-tail dressed, but really dressed.  You know, in real clothes?  Having an infant around the house can make any mom compromise her style but I want to show you one of my favorite post-partum ‘looks’ and give you a few tips too…

For me, a comfortable skirt is one of the best pieces of clothing to wear after having a C-Section.  It lays perfectly on my skin, it doesn’t cut into my hips, the fabric is soft and flowy and I feel good too!

Postpartum body… Meet MaxStudio Spandex Skirts & 3Dot T-Shirts!

This outfit can be worn so many ways!  With…

a cardigan

Flip Flops

Jean Jacket

… sky is the limit!

See the waist band?  Spandex = Postpartum Must Have!  Every mama who just delivered needs 1 (or 5) skirts like this!  It lays perfectly on top of your skin, doesn’t dig into your sides; there’s no buttons, zippers or elastic…

This skirt is soooo comfortable.

Add a piece of jewelry… Even if it’s just 1 thing!  I chose brown (must have been a mood thing).  Today, I’m wishing I would have added yellow or red or something more bright and fun but this worked.

Such an old necklace, but I love it.

And lastly, remind yourself…

A little make-up goes a long way.

At least for me it does!

This is MAC ‘Mulch’ – one of my Favorites!

Soft… Simple… Takes 1 minute to apply.

If you’re a new mom, don’t forget to take time for yourself!  Even if its for a simple outfit such as this… You’ll be amazed of how good you will feel!  I’m starting to feel a little bit like ‘ME’ again!

PS. He’s pretty cute, huh? ; )

Another Mom Hat: High School Choice Researcher

We've come to that moment of parenthood that came much too quickly for my preference, but nevertheless, it's here. We are now looking into high schools for my first-born. I've always been a private-school, Catholic school kid & parent so now we're transitioning to the public school system. I've decided to go out of my comfort zone because we're fortunate to belong to an awesome school district with great high school pathway options. I've done some outside research & now it's a matter…

Motherhood is a Learning Journey

...This week has been a true test of my sheer will and strength as a mother--sending my 13-year-old, my first-born off on a 5-day retreat miles away, off the grid---no contact! It's been emotional--up & down--happy for him, worried for him, excited for him then missing him. Very much missing him.  And I survived. My Huz has survived (barely) & his younger brother (very bonded to him) also survived.  We missed him SO SO much!! But we love him and want him to experience…
