What should you look for in breast lift pictures?
Most cosmetic surgeons keep pictures of women who have had a breast lift procedure in their offices. These encourage patients to opt for the procedure showing them what is to be expected if they choose breast lift with the surgeon. However, you must keep in mind that these pictures may be from old patients and may not reflect current skills. They may not even reveal all the details or errors in the procedure.
If you are also looking at these before and after pictures at the surgeon’s office, you must be aware of what to look for.
Check the breast shape in the pictures
Most women opt for a breast lift in order to enhance the appearance of breasts and to make them look sultrier. When you compare the before and after pictures, you should be able to see whether the procedure was able to achieve this objective or not. You should be easily able to pinpoint any important changes that took place from the original photos to the second ones.
Check whether the incisions are visible
Even though usually incisions are made in an area where they are not easily visible, you must check the pictures for any visible scarring. For most women, this scarring fades away within a few months after mastopexy.
Check the direction of the nipples
With age, a woman’s breasts begin to sag and the nipples either point in the other direction or downwards. Among the other reasons for getting a breast lift procedure is the desire to renew the direction of the nipples for perky and young looking breasts. When you check the before and after pictures, you must check to see if the direction of the nipples was fixed.
Sagging of the breasts is natural and this could be due to age or pregnancy. You must check in the pictures to see if the surgeon was able to correct the droopiness in the breasts with the lift procedure.
