How Do I Choose the Best Professional Cleaning Service

Keeping your home clean can be an exhausting task, especially if you have to squeeze it in between the chaos and work and keeping your family in line. And if your life feels like it’s nothing but cleaning and tedious chores, perhaps it’s…

How to Keep Your Pool Clean Without Using Chemicals

The weather is getting hotter and hotter, and if you haven’t done it already, you are probably getting ready to open your pool and start the swimming season. Having a pool in your backyard is wonderful, but it requires quite some effort before you…

8 Ways to Make Food Shopping as a Parent More Bearable

No one is denying children aren’t the gift that keep on giving. But, as a parent, there are just some tasks in day to day adult life that shouldn’t be accompanied by kids. Namely the weekly food shop. Opening yourself up to a world of whining, potential tantrums and…

The first night Sydnie was born was the worst night sleep I've ever
had...about one hour total. She was so angry and cried and cried, it was
miserable. I had feasted on Hot Wings right before I went into labor so
perhaps that didn't settle to well on her tummy. Regardless she wasn't
much happier the first few weeks of life no matter what I ate.
And frankly things haven't changed much, she still is a challenge. She's
whiny, defiant, pushes all my buttons, and is usually the only one
causing problems. We'll be riding in the car and everyone is happy as a
clam except Sydnie who is whining and crying in her seat. In fact she
screamed for the first 12 months of her life every time she came in
contact with a car seat. My husband spend a small fortune on ear plugs
and every trip was a stressful one.

Now she is a little over two years old and many things have gotten better especially now that she can talk.
However she still resorts to whining & crying in any given
situation and often hits or pushes her sister when she's angry. Part of
me says...relax she's two years old and another part of me says "why
on earth is she so difficult?!" I hate being the mom that tells her
child three times to stop before she actually does. Both Adam and I are
fully convinced she will do well in life I just don't know if I will
make it!
Does anyone have some advice on things that have worked well with
"strong-willed" children?? Any advice on whining?? Anything? Anyone? I'm
open to suggestions!
