This is a political post. Yes, I know I said they would be rare, but I'm fired up.  I have stated a number of times that I am a walking oxymoron.  My liberal friends laugh and say, “You should be a liberal,” and my conservative friends often just look at me with their mouths hanging open while I discuss being anti- vaccine or pro-natural childbirth. The reality is this:  I am a conservative and I believe in individual responsibility, economic freedom, and limited government.  

We as human beings have a moral code and ethical guidelines that we live by. These guidelines allow us to differentiate right from wrong.  Because of this, society does not depend on government micromanagement to function.  I don’t feed my children organic food because the government says I should but because I think organic foods provide the most nutritional meals for my family. If you want to feed your child fast food that is your choice and not the government’s.
