Who wants to read the good stuff?

I would not be so quick to frequent a blog that only talked about how perfect the kids were, how well mom cooked from scratch, how clean and beautiful the house is, how unfrazzled she is at the end of the day…Sure, I like those stories, but if I have a bad day, or am making dinner from a box or cleaning the crayon from my entire floor, or changing the 3rd blowout of the day, or ready to pull my hair out for a variety of reasons, those posts just will NOT make me feel better. I need the kids in bed, a cup of tea (or glass of wine) and a calm mind to dig into those beauties…

Just the other day, DH asked me why my blog is so negative. I answered the same way I did here…who wants to read the good stuff? I am usually looking for a laugh or at least to see that someone else is up to their eyeballs in poop so I don’t feel like I’m really screwing up these girls! I love my life, and I tell him that all the time. I don’t need to tell anyone else…

Having said that…Guess what’s bugging me today?

Rain…crayon on my entire dining room floor…crayon on my entire kitchen floor…crayon on my windows…Abs playing dodgeball with me and her vegetables…M waking up the whole house at 6am…M’s response of “I’m so sorry” immediately after doing something she full well knows she shouldn’t…Overnite diapers that still leak…snotty bloggers…snotty Tweeps…my closet…running out of blog ideas…seeing that no one else seems to be running out of blog ideas…not enough time to myself…not enough sleep…not being able to shut our bedroom door because of the stupid cats…our stupid cats…gray hair…wrinkles…starting to look my age…starting to look my weight…Moms who eyeroll…Moms who roll their eyes at me…Moms who deserve an eyeroll from me…Facebook status about poop…Facebook status about sex…headaches…being allergic to Advil…the fact that corn and french fries really aren’t nutritious vegetables (or vegetables at all)…running out of fruit…running out of cookies…Comcast OnDemand…running out of tea…having to go out in the rain for coffee…switching sleep in days and getting up early on Sunday…
