This past week marked the celebration of “Earth Day” and “Take Your Child to Work Day.” Two occasions that should have allowed you the opportunity to teach your children lessons of sustainability in work and life. Please take 5-minutes to watch the video of Living with Ed’s, Ed Begley Jr. as he shares easy and affordable tips on how to “go green.” Allot a few more minutes to watch nationally known psychotherapist Dr. Robi Ludwig as she, alongside her daughter, prepares to appear on TV’s InSession in our “Take Your Child to Work Day” video. It’s a feel good way to wrap up the month of April.
In May we will celebrate ourselves, Moms, because we rule and because it’s officially Mother’s Day. If in fact you’d like to be treated like the rock star you are, take a second to enter the Send Me to Sesame Place Contest to win FOUR tickets to Sesame Place! SEVEN moms will be chosen to win… it’s your chance to allow your kids to love you even more (if that’s even possible).
We’ve got an additional gift for you… we’re feeling very generous in light of Mother’s Day. The first TWO moms toget FIVE new members to join MyWorkButterfly will receive the books: TODAY’S MOMS: Essentials for Surviving Baby’s First Year by TODAY show producers, Mary Ann Zoellner and Alicia Ybarbo AND actress Josie Bissett’s book, Tickle Monster. As chance may have it, Alicia, Mary Ann and Josie are all Mom Mentors that will be showcased on Butterfly in May. You will be able to watch our exclusive video interview with TODAY producers and listen in on our phone chat with Melrose Place’s Josie Bissett. Good times.
We’ve got two last items on the agenda:
- Terry and I will be interviewing Peter Walsh, nationally renowned expert in organizational design and living, best-selling author and TV personality. Peter teaches people how to de-clutter their minds, homes and offices to improve their lives and personal spaces. Peter is a regular guest on The Oprah Winfrey Show where he provides expert advice for combating clutter. If you could ask him any question to help simplify your life what might it be? Do tell.
- Do you love soap operas or wish you could mingle with your favorite soap stars? Wish no more! On April 28thyou can bid on attending a gala with Martha Byrne, Terri Columbino, Jon Hensley, Kelley Hensley, Michael Park and others to benefit the VH1 Save The Music Foundation. Includes hair/makeup, hotel/air and more!
