When I got into blogging 2 years ago, I really had no idea what I was in for. I figured I’d do my research, write my content, obtain some traffic and then monetize my blog with advertising and affiliate marketing – sounded easy enough. But what no one tells you is that blogging is not for the faint of heart, it takes a lot of patience, persistence and perseverance and even if you possess the three P’s it’s estimated that you’ll only make $20,000 – $49,000 a year, and that’s for bloggers who have been blogging for 1-4 years.
I tell you this not to discourage you from becoming a monetized blogger, but to give you a realistic view point of what you can expect.
For me, blogging is bliss. I love to write… I love helping people… I love being part of an online community… I love working at home… (Did I say love enough?!?).
So, what advice can I give you for becoming a successful monetized blogger? Besides the 3 P’s, here are some lessons and wisdom I have gathered from some of the web’s most successful bloggers.
