How to Through A Larger Than Life Small Wedding on a Budget

This one is as simple as crowdfunding your honeymoon. It might sound strange at first, but do you really need another blender or set of dinner plates? Instead of having your guests purchase a bunch of things you’ll end up trying to return anyway, why not let them chip in for…

How Due Date Calculators Can Change Your Pregnancy for the Better

Learning that you are pregnant can be one of the most joyous occasions in a woman’s life. As many of us know pregnancy can happen spontaneously or after much trying.  Regardless of how a woman becomes pregnant, it is vitally important for her to know when she…

Wouldn't you love to be part of kicking Childhood Cancer's Ass?! I know I can't wait!!!!

So here we are at another October page on the calender. As most of you know this is the month that changed my family’s life for the better and the worse. Julia was diagnosed 5 years ago this month and we are looking back from this place where we are now, in awe. Julia is still doing well and is almost 7 months out of treatment this time. We are beyond happy but never relieved. This past few weeks has brought many declarations of bad news in our little cancer circle and my heart is breaking. So many of our friends are relapsing again or just in the end stage of their battle. These are babies!!! Preschool, elementary school … they need more time!!! We need to find a way to make this better somehow.
All I know to do is to encourage the researchers and those who are waaaaay smarter than I, to continue to work hard and in order to do that, you guessed it, they need money! So we are walking in the Curesearch Walk in Charlotte again and trying to raise funds. Our first fund raiser for our team is the selling of t-shirts. They are white with the logo for Julia’s Rainbow on the front and has a Curesearch saying on the back. If you are walking with us or just wish you could please go to this site and insert code curese3FA . Short sleeved t-shirts are only $10.00 and a long sleeve shirt is 13.00. They are available in youth and adult sizes. Please consider helping us out!
If you want to join our team, donate or even start a team of your own go to Curesearch.org/milestones , click on the North Carolina, Charlotte link and then register and look for the team called Julia’s Rainbow! You will see a member of our team and a friend of Julia’s, TJ, on the front page throwing leaves in the air and wearing last year’s tshirt!!!
Please …. I am coming close to begging. We need more awareness, funds and research to find more effective and more gentle treatments!!!
Please continue to keep our friends in your prayers as these babies struggle for their childhoods and their lives…
Peace,
K
