Zeal is Necessary, Be Zealous for Your Children

It is terrific to be zealous about something and to have your zeal rewarded with the outcome you desire. There are some people who spend a lot of time going off on crusades and run back and forth from cause to cause stirring up attention and action. There are other people who may only fight hard for one thing their entire lives, but everything those people have is put into the fight. When I worked as an attorney, I was required to zealously work to represent the interests of my clients. Now as a mother, my main job is to work with zeal and zealousness on behalf of my children.
Zeal is commonly defined as great energy or enthusiasm in pursuit of a cause or an objective. Zealous is commonly defined as having or showing zeal. Over the course of time, I have come to learn that when you act with zeal, when you are enthusiastic about your efforts, you may face resistance and fear from those with whom you are dealing. Almost everything in life is a job for someone. When a thing is a job, it is routine, matter of fact and not a big deal. No matter how serious it is, there is a step by step process, plan and manner of doing things and those who are at work like to follow the common and well trusted path.

At the same time, when a situation is new to you, your first open heart surgery or your first visit to a trauma center with your child, the experience is anything but, standard, routine and ordinary. As a result, your zealous efforts will come into conflict with those working a job. It seems this is an inevitable result. In those circumstances, it is important that you do not let fear, authority or the appearance of expertise dampen your zeal. Zeal and the requirement of zealousness is important and is required by certain professions for a reason. Some things are only ordinary to works, not to those receiving the work.
As a parent, your main job is the protection, support and care of your child. It is not a routine, matter of fact small deal. It is a big deal. In fact it is THE BIG DEAL.  When a thing is a big deal, when a thing is important, you must act with zeal, you must be zealous in your actions. When the conflict comes,  take a deep breath, put on your big girl panties and stand up to the resistance and to those who do not understand your zeal. You must always be in control of your zeal, use it appropriately and reap the benefits that zealous action brings.
In conclusion, it is terrific to find something to be zealous about and to succeed in your objective. So, the question for you this terrific day is, what are you going to use your zealous efforts to accomplish?
