Hey Pam,
I don't know if you're looking for media exposure, but this came across my desk today.
17) Summary: Special Education channel
Name: Carol McCulloch (BrightHub.com)
Category: Education
Email: query-o59@helpareporter.com
Media Outlet: BrightHub.com
Deadline: 04:00 PM EST - 24 October
Query:
I need to interview music therapists and healthcare
professionals who work with the special needs community. My
article: "Guide for Incorporating Music Into Special Needs
Education"
That would be great. I would like it if you could give a little information about how and why music therapy is effective and who it would benefit. I really appreciate it.
I haven't been active on MBC since school started back, but it has been on my mind to contact you. I saw that you recently wrote a guest blog and I am wondering if you would like to write one for my blog Milestone Mom I think it would be nice to offer a variety of information regarding treatment options. I think music plays a large role in helping children with disabilities and delays.
Thanks so much for the follow back. I really was intrigued by your blog.
I've always believed that if we can get children involved in music, theater, crafts, dance and all of the arts that they benefit educationally and sociably.
Here is a link that describes my feelings on that subject.
I'm in the process of reorganizing my site and blog because I became to diverse(I'm focused now-thank goodness) Once I get a good following I'll try and be supportive of your blog and send people your way to reinforce my philosophy.
Best wishes in your endeavors,
Grace
Pamela,
I just love original people and I started following your blog and liked your facebook page.
I'm also going to make it a favorite on the blessed element facebook page as music and the other arts are so important for children.
Could you help me build my fan base as well. http://companies.to/blessedelements/
Thanks

Hi Pam,
I am going to be adding more posts that pertain to school age children, and I am going to discuss sensory integration, autism, spectrum disorders, etc. in more detail. The next post is going to discuss behavior strategies which will be helpful to moms of school age kids from pre-K right through high school. I will also add some more sensory "tips" to help moms of older children.
Hi Pam,
I just posted a blog regarding the benefits of exercise for ADHD - also benefits of relaxation therapy. I used to work in a "locked unit" in a psychiatric hospital and saw first hand the benefits fo music therapy. Perhaps if you wanted to write something about music therapy and the benefits for ADHD it would be great. I could post your blog and link it back to your site.

You're blog is great and has content that complements mine. Perhaps we can promote each other via the blogs.
