Car safety is one of the top priority for parents when they’re carting their children around town and even when their kids become old enough to drive themselves. It is important for parents to be completely aware and undistracted on the road. In today’s fast-paced society, it’s far too…
One of the most devastating things that can happen to any family is substance abuse in any form. Anything in excess is never good for anyone. That could be anything from too much food, exercise, alcohol or even shopping. Addictive behaviors can turn relationships upside down for those who…
Hi Moriah, Pretty name! I loved being pregnant, every second of it! If I can give you any advice, make sure your husband brings a camera into the delivery room to get pics of the baby, you kissing the baby, him kissing the baby, and the baby on the scale..definitely the money shot..oh, and time flies by fast, they are only so little for so long, my son is going to be 2 on Flag Day :)...Good luck ----- shelly
hi. Nice blog. I tried to reply to a comment on your blog, but, and it couldn't " verify my credentials?" I'm still kinda new to all this...Anyway, some ideas for things that I found valuable are nursing bra, rocking chair, burp cloths, breast pump, Soothies to wear in your bra to help with the sore nipples, one of those swaddling blankets...even better than all of that - someone to relieve you so you can take a nap!;-) All the best to you!
Moriah: I visited your blog ... love the necklaces in your Etsy shop! You'll get lots of advice; some good, some bad. Here's what to expect: You'll never ever ever be as in love with ANYone as you are going to be with your Josiah! For weeks and months to come, you'll find yourself in the middle of staring at this gorgeous little person that you brought into our world and marveling at the beauty of him! Love him, try your best to raise him to be a moral person and enjoy every ..... single .... moment --- because they will fly by and you'll soon be looking at someone who is taller than you are and wondering how it passed so quickly!
Thank you so much for the welcome message. I remember how excited I was when I was pregnant with my little girl, Alexandra. It seems like it was just yesterday and now she will be 3 this June.....it really does fly by!!!! I have advice I give to every pregnant woman and new mom I see. I live in Atlanta, GA and we have a "baby whisperer" that all the moms talk about. She comes to your house when your baby is just 2 weeks old and does a 2 hour consultation with you....she is a pediatric nurse with like 6 kids and tells you all the secrets. She is FABULOUS!!! Please go to her website and order her book www.momsoncall.com. You will have a much more enjoyable "new mom" experience if you follow her advice. The section on getting the baby to sleep thru the night is phenominal...Alexandra was sleeping 8 hrs straight in 5-6 weeks. The dtypical day schedule was also the best. It told you exactly what to do (feed, play, nap, ect) hour by hour starting at 7am. It gets the baby on a perfect schudule and they are MUCH happier if they are on a very strict schedule and it makes your days so nice because you know exactly when they are sleeping, awake, etc. This book changed my experience, I promise, it is a life saver :-)
ICongratulations and best of luck to you, please stay in touch. I love your blog...I'm following it!!! Jane
