My love of Star Wars is what has helped me try to make sense of this 'foreign' land I have moved to - who knew if you moved 90 minutes away from Chicago that it was a whole new world?  I am glad that someone else out there can relate to my translating things into Star Wars speak - thank you so much for the comment!

Thanks, Gen, for your kind words. It sounds like we do have a lot in common. Motherhood is an adventure, isn't it---and the best one I've ever been on. My writing partner and I started the blog as a way to connect with other moms, particularly ones with special needs kids. We wanted to help create a community so that moms os special needs kids would not feel so alone. We have found that, rather than creating the community, we are joining one that has been here all along. :)
