We live in Green Valley Ranch (newly built homes, you can still buy a custom home) and everyone that we have met out here is really nice, most are young families with kids. It does get quite cold (the pipes in our 1/2 bath actually freeze on occassion it gets so cold. I'm not really fond of the cold so I'm a bit bias but the summers and falls are fantastic!

Hey Stephanie, I'm about 9 miles from the District. Still debating on whether or not to try to go downtown on Tuesday. I'm thinking if not Tuesday, at least this weekend. Taking the metro is out of the question, but the buses may be an option. The local bicycling club plans to do free valet bike parking for those willing to enter DC on two wheels. The highs are supposed to be in the mid 30's!
