Thanks for the welcome, Colleen! As for you not being able to homeschool because your son has a risk for autism, well, I would just suggest that you get a second opinion. =) Maybe join a local homeschool group and participate in their preschool activities, etc. Thankfully, there are so many options for homeschoolers with regards to socialization, that in my opinion it's a non issue. I usually have to PARE DOWN what we're doing in a week, just so we'll have time to focus on schoolwork! Still, field trips, park days, classes, sports, etc. are out there for homeschoolers so I would encourage you not to give up on the idea if it's what you really feel is best. Take care and God bless!
Oh boy told you I'm new at this, I think I replied on the wrong section. Thanks for your comment Colleen. I'm really looking forward to reading your blog. I love the idea of connecting with moms all over the country and seeing how much we have in common as women and moms quite amazing considering all of our different backgrounds but not surprising when we're all moms. I'm also looking forward to learning from others and starting my blog :)
Hi! Thanks for the add! I am really excited about beginning the process of becoming a "real" doula. I am hoping to focus on bonding after loss, abortion and miscarriage support, and also support to incarcerated mamas. We will see how the journey goes...
Thanks for the Welcome. I'm an Ob/Gyn on Twitter/FB addressing questions/concerns from patients that come up everyday in my practice. I'm creating a blog too, likely to launch in the next 2 months (GynoGroupie.com) For now come visit on Twitter/FB. Like Maureen, now off to visit your (and others below) blog(s) :)
I wanted to let you know that I am following you, and hoping when you get a chance you can follow me back. I also want to invite you to join my groups, The Blog Hop Network, Beauty Bloggers, and Children's businesses. Also, I would love to place a link to your site on my blog if you want to do the same with my blog on yours. Please let me know by sending me an email regarding this and it has been nice meeting you via the web.
I'm fairly new to MBC myself and wanted to welcome you. I am a part-time family doctor and full-time mom of 4 boys. I have a parenting website. On the site I accept questions from parents about their kids' behavior and offer suggestions about difficult situations. I hope you will check it out, perhaps leave a question or recommend it to a friend who has a problem.
