Nobody likes suffering from allergies. For parents, it is especially hard watching your kids battle runny noses, watery eyes, frequent sneezing, and other symptoms. Help your children overcome their allergies with clean air to breathe and a healthy diet.
Home maintenance tasks are few people’s idea of a good time, but tending to them at the appropriate times is vital to making sure your home stands for as long as possible. Here is a brief list of some of the maintenance tasks you need to get in the habit of doing now – before it is too late.
I'm fairly new to MBC and reaching out to moms here. I am a part-time family doctor and full-time mom of 4 boys. I have a parenting website. On the site I accept questions from parents about their kids' behavior and offer suggestions about difficult situations. I hope you will check it out, perhaps leave a question or recommend it to a friend who has a problem.
Many, many years ago when Sears had their little county stores, (They still have one in this little town) I bought two dozen Guinea chicks. Years later, when I moved from that place, there were over a 1,000 and they were everywhere. We couldn't keep them at home. they used to roost on the electric wires all up and down the farm road. Fortunately, a man came by who loved Guinea and bought them all for 50 cents a piece and he would catch them. Wow, what luck.
I am a retired teacher and I home schooled my youngest totally all the way to college and when she graduated from college she was number one in her class. That was sort of fun, because many of my teaching friends did not like the fact that I home schooled. Now many of those teachers are buying my books for their own children and grand children. Life is fun and has a lot of quick turns,
My home projects include a lot of woodworking, I have pictures on several sites and at the moment, I am making a coffee table.
My biggest effort is going to figure a way to keep the squirrels and deer out of my apple orchard. That will be my project for next spring.
I was just checking out your profile. It is my dream to have chickens one day. I'm so jealous! I do have two chicks, but they are of the human variety. You should check out my blog: http://thelittlehenhouse.com. I look forward to reading more from you. :)
Recently we had raccoons break into our chicken coop and destroy all but one chicken. (we sent her to live with my mom and her chickens poor girl). :( very sad. We'll start over next year I guess.
My veggie garden is going really well this year, so I'm hoping I will get plenty of produce to can. I never heard it called jarring before lol. My goal when creating the garden this year was to have enough to can to last us through the winter. We'll see lol. At least I'll have a better idea next year how much we got from what I planted.
OMG ~ we could be twins. I came from NYC and moved to Kansas ~ working from home, raising chickens (although we've had a recent catastrophe), growing veggies, canning and doing all that "country" stuff. My life is also nothing like I expected and I wouldn't change a thing.

Aimee, I followed you on Google. I would sure appreciate if you could follow me on either FB (click the "like" thumbs up on the lefthand side) or networked blogs (directly underneath that).
My blog is a single mom's blog about my dating experiences and my family. http://teacherintl.typepad.com/
