Renee, I think we have something in common. I have four boys as well. Close to the same ages as your I'm a couple of months ahead of you. I ran a half a couple of weeks ago. Way to go on yours, sorry you didn't 'crush' your time you never know some days are just not as good as others. Good job on doing it....are you sore?

I did check out your blog and it was really good. I subscribed. I just started blogging but it is becoming quite a cathartic and fun hobby. I have 2 boys that are 13 months (2 and 3 years old) apart so it gets crazy at times. I tell you what though, no offense to girls, I really like having just boys. I also look forward to getting to know you. Thanks for accepting my invite.

Four boys, wow. It must be tough to have your husband away for the week. Mine leaves for 3 days here and there and though I can handle it taking care of my two boys alone gets a little rough. I am going to go check out your blog AND send you a friend request because I totally agree with you about people assuming boys are so much harder to deal with. I motivate myself by blogging each and every run. Also, start researching what you'll eat the week before. Try some home made healthy granola bar recipes, think about what you'll wear - just the focus on running alone makes me want to run. If there is a 5k near you before then, go stand in the crowd with your boys and let them cheer everyone on! Watching a race will make you want to be in a race, so you'll train harder. You can do it - and it will be FUN!

Thanks for joining the running group! Good job on the marathon! Thats NOT easy!!! Good luck on your next one and please update us. THats a great goal. Motivation seems to be the key for alot of mommies! I say keep signing up for races. It will make you run more and maybe in turn motivate you to want to run more. That'd be awesome.
