Same as you Kristen I like pictures any pictures on the post, it kind of brakes up the text :) and of course the kind of post :) funny, personal, something that will be fun and good read.

I kind of don't like music that plays automatically, that's why my speakers are always off LOL

A clean, attractive design and then obviously, interesting content. A ton of ads is a huge "turn-off" so to speak :)

Draws me in: Photos and a personal touch.

Turn offs: comment verifications, sign in to comment requirements, i can go on. i'll stop here :)

I don't think I can come up with ONE and I've done a post on my 13 pet peeves when it comes to blogs but here are a few:

TURNS ME ON: white background, shorter posts, clean design

TURNS ME OFF: too many ads (like both sides, down 2 feet), too much talk of religion or politics, ONLY review posts

No politics, sociology, religion, medicine, economy, or world catastrophes... I already get all the depressing news from the television! LOL

I love interesting topics, a good variety (no monotony), great layout w/ pleasing colors, some kewl photos and something "free" for visiting!

Someone mentioned they zoning out, hehehehe I call that "my-eyes-glazed-over"....!

Draws me in: pictures, interesting topics

Turns me off: MUSIC, too many ads, slow loading pages (because of too much crap), long postings with no pictures to break it up, the obnoxious typing of CaPs OfF aNd On... what the heck is up with that??? I've seen whole blogs written that way!

Draws me in: Clean page with a great design, good writing, personal pictures (though, I'm guilty of not having nearly enough!)

Turns me off: Too many buttons/ads, cluttered looking blogs, disorganization, poorly written posts, and music that automatically plays

I agree with you all. I am drawn to clean, easy to navigate blogs. My biggest turn off is auto music, with busy layouts being a close second. I am super neurotic about keeping my blog clutter free!

I agree with all of you, I am drawn in by a blog if it has a great header or really great pictures. I am a visual person as well.

I hate the music and quickly leave if I hear it, I also don't like when mom blogs make endless posts about their children, I really don't need to know every detail.
