My husband tagged our son with the unfortunate moniker of 'Boober', and it kind of stuck. He's now trying to amend it to 'Zoomer', but it isn't as adhesive. My parents & brother call him the X-Man.
Madelyn is "puddin" {my husband started that one}
Tyler is "Ty Guy" {the only thing Madelyn calls him}
Carson is "Carson Bean" {"jumpin bean", he used to jump like crazy in his jumperoo}
I call my girls:
Dolly Bear,
Panda
Shmootie-oot
Shmoot
Sweetie-pea
Boo
As the years have gone by, the names have been modified. My 19 year old doesn't like me calling out "panda" when we are in public.
I've just got one kid, but he's got multiple nicknames
When he was born, the nurses commented on his long fingers and toes. My husband has long fingers and toes and I call him MonkeyMan. It seemed natural to call my son MonkeyBoy.
I also call him booger, dude, and buddy. But then, I refer to an inordinate number of people as dude.
Those are some names I hadn't thought of before! I hope when our kids get older, that they don't mind! It's so neat how we come up with all these creative ways to call for our child's attention.
