Some mom bloggers get really great blogging gigs on popular media sites, others get invited to free corporate events, and still others find some of the best friends they've ever had.

What is the best thing that has happened to you as a mom blogger?

My blog and website The Modern Woman's Divorce Guide received "Official Honoree" distinction in the 12th Annual Webby Awards.

Hailed as the "Oscars of the Internet" by The New York Times, The Webby Awards are the leading international awards honoring the best on the Web, including Websites, Interactive Advertising, Online Film & Video and Mobile Websites. The awards are judged by the International Academy of Digital Arts & Sciences, a global organization that includes David Bowie, Harvey Weinstein, Arianna Huffington, Matt Groening, Jamie Oliver, Internet inventor Vinton Cerf, and RealNetworks CEO Rob Glaser.

The 12th Annual Webby Awards received nearly 10,000 entries from over 60 countries and all 50 states. Out of more than 10,000 entries submitted, fewer than 15% were deemed Official Honorees.

And my sites have only been live for just over a year now!!!

How awesome is that!?! Great job. Congratulations.
Thank you so much!!! It is very exciting, especially because I've been devoted to it for almost 2 years now and self funded, like most of us!!!
I am a feature writer at a website for moms, I am featured twice a month. I have also been Featured on Yahoo Shines main parenting page. I have been up and running for a month so it has been quite a boost!
Nothing great...but meeting some new art minded friends has been a big plus to my blogging!
My family has benefited in more way's than one. I've become part of focus groups with large corporations and I've recieved some great equipment, passes to theme parks for free, have been paid to participate and it's allowed people to see me as a mommy and entrepreneur.

This is also a great way to stay in touch with many friends!
Oh, well I am so far off the radar that none of that fun stuff happens to me. I do celebrate the fact that I've been able to help other moms just from sharing my experiences. I had to struggle to become a mom, and that attracted other moms with fertility issues or going through adoption. I'm pretty honest about the ups and downs of motherhood and I think readers appreciate a mom who isn't sugar coating the experience.

The really cool thing happening now is that other video sites are asking to show the videos and vlogs I've created. It's nice to hear others appreciate the hard work I put into producing my itty bitty show or just like watching me ramble on my vlog posts.
I have found tremendous support as a wahm. Support that I don't think I would have gotten any other way. I've found some wonderful "grownup" friendships through blogging. I've not been officially "noticed" yet, but I'm enjoying my journey all the same.
"What is the best thing that has happened to you as a mom blogger?"

I'm not sure how to answer this - I'm pretty new to blogging, so I guess I'm still trying to figure it out. Since I'm still in the learning stage of everything that is blogging - gaining a readership, listing my blog in multiple places, finding other blogs to read and comment on, finding the time to keep my blogs updated - I guess I'm just proud of what I've built in such a short time.
I have made many wonderful friendships since I began blogging and what better gift is that? I have also had many blog radio interviews and have asked to come in speak at different health and church related events. I love teaching about health and nutrition and since I no longer practice as a Doctor of Chiropractic, I can continue teaching through my blogs:)
Well being mentioned a couple weeks ago in the Wall Street Journal in their list of best momblogs was pretty cool and I'm always thrilled about all the free stuff I get sent (I got one of those Sony digital readers today to look at and I love it). But the funniest thing that happened was when ABC called and offered me $20,000 to be on Wife Swap. That cracked us up--we turned them down but at least I got a good post out of it.
