I have made a great group of friends blogging. We have met in parts of the midwest, and have a ball!

I have not yet had the opportunity to participate in some other aspects, but hope to in time. One step at a time.

This isn't really all that exciting or really worth bragging about but I was totally geeked about it and thought it was cool :-)

I made a post last week on my blog about something I had seen on The Today Show in reference to a couple that was featured in the top 5 finalists on the Race to the Altar segment. I was so excited to see that the couple (both her & him) came and posted comments on my blog post! It was way exciting for me!!!!

Other than that I just love all the moms I've met and the friendships I've built. I never thought that someone commenting on my blog & me commenting on their's would turn into a friendship, it's amazing and wonderful and great!

I have only been blogging for about 3 months- thought it would be cool to have a giveaway. The kids and I have been listening to the new Barenaked Ladies kids CD. I e-mailed the Barenaked Ladies music store then did a follow-up. They e-mailed me and not only giving cds to give away but also the companion book! Moral of the story: Never be afraid to ask and ask again. Contest starts Monday:)

I'm fairly new to blogging (almost at the 1 year point in a few months). The best thing that's happened to me so far is in relation to networking online... I made the right connections (and some great friends along the way). One person who is quite active on the social media sites submitted one of my blog posts -
6 Phases of the Web Design & Development Process - to several sites. I've received tons of traffic this way and tripled my subscriber base because of it!

Of course, now I need to write another great article, LOL. Baby steps, though, right?

Our family blog has been great for keeping my family and friends up to date with whatever we are doing. The best thing is all the wonderful comments I get from them (sadly, not so much on the actual blog). When my dad was in Iraq and Afghanistan, he was able to watch his first grandson change from baby to toddler via our daily pictures of Fuller.

On my personal blog, the coolest thing recently was getting the attention of Camelbak, who sent me a new BPA free waterbottle after I blogged about throwing my old one away. Not as cool as getting to go to an event and getting free digital cameras, but still very satisfying.
