There are two definites about blogging: It's fun and it is also a lot of work, espcially if you want to become a "Top Mom Blogger". Although I do not believe there is one exact recipe we can all replicate to achieve super blog status, I do believe there are a variety of tricks we can all use to improve our blogs.

Here are a few things that will improve any blog:

1. Post regularly. No one likes a latent blog or a lazy blogger.

2. Make your blog attractive. If you don't know how to create basic graphics, hire someone to do it for you. Since the market is saturated with blog designers these days, the cost of designing blogs has plummeted substantially. Where it once cost about $1500 to design a blog, there are designers out there who do it for about $100.

3. Stay abreast of the latest news. News stories and current events generate interest and the crazier the stories are, the more people want to discuss it. Don't be afraid to express your opinion loud and clear. That is how people can figure out where you are coming from as a blogger and will either decide to come back or move one.

4. Be original. Don't try to copy another blogger's style. Bloggers are extremely savvy and can see right through a phony, so be as authentic as possible.
