Ads: Love 'em or Hate 'em?

The weekly poll is showing that there's a lot of us bloggers that are thinking about putting ads on our blogs. So what's holding you back?

I never really understood the ad controversy. I'm neither for or against them although I admit that the huge flashing ads are a distraction. What's your take on advertisements: love 'em or hate 'em?

I dont think I love them or hate them. I do know that when I am bopping around, if the entire blog is ads that it is not visually interesting...or I have to look and look to actually find the blogging....or it takes too long to upload, I will leave. ( hello, can you say short attention span?)

But I dont mind ads...so of the best things I have found or bought recently has been off a blog.

As of right now, I am ad-less, but not because I am anti-ad. I would be interested in ads relative to my blog. I have recently been sought out by an advertiser, and I told them I would thoroughly research their product before agreeing to it.

I dislike blogs overpowered by big ads and flashing buttons. Whether this is true or not, it makes me think they are more about flare than content, ya know.

I would love to increase my readership as well. I am finding it a bit difficult. I do like coming on to the site and reading other blogs. I have found some great blogs. I normally keep track of the blogs that I join and try to comment on them at least once every other week until I just never hear from them. I love having tons of blogs to read and respond too.

I have ads but I'm signed with an agency and their ads are amazing. Beyond that I also have people contacting me all the time for sponsored posts and I've been able to work with great brands and offer my audience gifts at the same time. For me it's a win win.

It depends on the blogger. If you don't have a lot of traffic than Google ads won't do much for you. Better of to have people pay you to post their ads. But it's your blog and your business to run how you choose- as for me I really enjoy mine.
