Send Something to Someone

My 3-S philosophy...lol. Share Something with Someone:)

Whether your kids are 2 or 15, I think having them write or draw something for a family member or friend and send it to them snail mail is a great idea. I know, I know...email is everywhere but to actually receive something they can hold is so much more fun.

Every week during summer, I get my kids to write a letter to a family member or friend. (The 2yr old draws or paints:) This is a great way to keep in touch with people and keep your kiddos writing skills in tune.

Oh, YOU can also do this too you know...it doesn't have to be the kids;)

Great idea! I'll have to tear everyone away from the TECHNOLOGY for a few minutes, but I think it is worth it.

Yes, sometimes kids forget how to write because they're on the computers so much so getting away from all the electronics is nice every now and then:)

This is great idea! I've been wanting to buy those big round crayons for toddlers and see what my one year old could do. It would be a cherished surprise to send off to family. I think I'll do that this week. Thanks for the motivation! :)

My 12 and 14yr old don't like it either but I make them. I told them I am Queen and what I say goes;)

I used to write letters to my mamaw but she's no longer with us. I do write down things constantly but that's about it.

I guess I should follow my advice and make myself do it when the kids do it!

I agree snail mail is a great idea getting to touch someone with self expression unexpectedly is truly a priceless moment! I love the idea you have and I have a very unique Greeting card system that can actually enhance this whole concept.

You could scan these pictures and make a personal greeting card, giving a them an even more special touch plus allowing you to keep those originals in an album. My boys send out a card to friends and family weekly with drawings and pictures of them and family they love it!! what a nice idea!

sometimes we'll have the kids hold up signs that say "happy" "birthday" "whoever" and I'll take a pic and email them to the person who's bday it is. Everyone loves that too!
