I was looking at my page ranking and it's a great wopping 0... Yup that's a zero.. lol.. Was reading about linking and linking back, and just sooooo much info out there, some companies and directories wanted money... Was wondering what some of the season veterans have done, or what some of us bloggers are doing? or even if it doesn't matter to you..

Hi Lisa,

Here is one of the tips that I can share with so you can have more website traffic to your website. Try to publish a relevant content. In order to create quality, know the exact keywords that your reader might search online with phrases like "electrical engineering in Detroit," or "Chicago Tech degrees". There are free tools online:

Also if you want to deeply understand how it works, watch their tutorials on Youtube on how to use it so and familiarize its functions.

I hope that helps. :)

Sincerely,

Alberta Ellington

Hi, Lisa,

This post is 10 years old, so I doubt that you're still seeking an answer to this question, but I'll answer anyway.

I recently took several classes through LinkedIn Learning on SEO and writing for the web.  Those classes touched upon everything a person needs to know to improve their ranking with search engines.  It also takes time, patience and practice as well as good writing.

The classes also cautioned that you should never pay a company to increase your SEO.  Those are generally scams that will show little, if any, results and can even get you penalized by the search engines.

you can do link building (guest posting, link exchange, sponsorships, commenting, broken link building and many more).

to start,

You can submit a guest post on my website: urban super mom, a guest post is a post that will be published on my site that will be written by you and will contain backlinks to your site. You can choose a topic related to motherhood.

You can submit it here: hello@urbansupermom.com.

In exchange for the post, I would like to ask you to put the image below on your sidebar with a link to https://www.urbansupermom.com

let's help each other grow.

If you need help link building or SEO, in general, you I recommend: Zvono Marketing

Hello Lisa,

Well for a starter, ranking on Google takes a while. There something called "google sandbox" this is where Google puts your site "under the scope" to get to know your content better and categorize it. This takes up to 6months. Yup! 6 good months. However, this should not deter you from writing and link building. I have personally seen blogs get traffic and sales in their first three months of launch.

How can you link build?

  • Create quality blog posts-Of late Google values content that gives a solution to readers. If your content is engaging and adds value, more people from your niche will automatically want to engage you through guest posts and even inviting you to their blogs.
  • Guest posts-So far this is the method I have seen work albeit slowly. You connect with people in your niche, you write an article with a link embedded in it and they post it on their blog. In return, both of you have a backlink.
  • Blog commenting-When a blog is written, there is a comment section. Here you are able to input your name, website URL and a comment. I would insist that you comment on a relevant blog to show the owner you did read his/her blog and not doing it to get a backlink
  • Directories-There are those that don't charge to have your blog cannot remember the names as of now

These among other will contribute to getting links and traffic to your blog. Also use social platforms like facebook, twitter, Instagram and Pinterest -more of a search engine

I hope this helps you
