I've made myself a blog button to grab for people to put on their sidebars, since i've seen so many people do this.

My question is...are buttons the new blogroll?

What do you have? I have a few buttons, but mostly just my blog roll list. I'm thinking about adding another "link-to-page" and displaying all my blogs in button-form and giving up on the sidebar blog roll.

I will go grab your button and put it in my link love column :-)

I have been wondering if I should go clean up and maybe move my buttons but then I thought better of it. I think the buttons show creativity of the designer and can tell you what the blog is about alot better than the text links can.
If I get to a 3 column, I'd probably have some buttons for my FAV blogs (and yours would be one of them!) but for now, the blog roll stays! =)
I do both. I know a gal that puts all her banners on one page and she said that is her most popular outgoing page;)
Thanks for the great responses.....I have ANOTHER question....but what if one of your faves DOESN'T have a 'button'...LOL! I'm thinking too much aren't i?
lol I may offer to make one?
I also have both. If the blog I am adding does have a badge, I try to put the badge on, if not I just put them on the blogroll. However, I feel like my page is going to fill up fast, so I am thinking I should add a page just for badges and blogroll. I don't know how to add a page using Blogger, so I will have to look into it!
Yeah, very true! ;)

I have a second "page" that links to my daughter's potty training progress. I just posted it was a date prior my blog start and linked it to my button. That's the only way I know how in Blogger.

I have both; I tend to use the blogroll b/c it's a cleaner look, but I did make a button for others to use. I have a page just for other sites -- I may start adding buttons there.

And, Petra -- what Jen did is exactly what I did for a second "page" on my (blogger) blog. I created a new blog (took it off of my profile) and created a link from my main blog to it. If anyone knows an easier way to do this in blogger, I'd love to know it!
I like consistency, and because not all blogs I would have in a blogroll have graphic icons, I personally prefer to do a text blogroll. But I have seen a lot of cute buttons around, that's for sure!
