Every year we look forward to getting cards and newsletters from our friends all over the country. As our lives have gotten more hectic over the years, this is the one time of the year we hear from many of our friends.

Like clockwork, there is always one newsletter that is more BRAGGING than NEWS. My sister-in-law in Chicago started a contest with me a few years back to see who received the most obnoxious year end newsletter. She had a neighbor that she barely knew, we had the "trophy" wife of my husband's old college friend. Sharing these irritating brag-letters actually made them enjoyable and provided much stress relief from the holidays. I started my own newsletter in retaliation. Ours was a humorous look at our "under-achievers" and included embarrassing anecdotes and photos.
