Great question! Yes, it does feels like a competition. I try not to think about it too much but between the widgets, prizes, etc. it kind of reminds me of high school superlatives.

I don't feel like it is competitive, I have met so many nice supportive bloggers. Blogging is a lifeline for me also, it is very rewarding.
