I'm in to unique names, and my sister is pregnant with her second child and has asked me to help her come up with a list of names. Her first son's name is Kian. She wants something clever...

I, myself, have been vetoed a million times in the baby naming category. My most favorite name for a little girl is Dixie. Dad gave me the big cold "no" on that one... Anyone else lose this battle?

I wanted Christine or Hannah for one of our daughters. In retrospect, I'm glad we chose the names we did! He was right!
What names did you go with?
He pretty much vetoed everything that came out of my mouth. I had chosen my kid's names long before I met him and he hated all of them. My favorites were Victoria Noelle for a girl and Ryan for a boy. During my second pregnancy, we had to outlaw any conversation of baby names. One week before the baby was due, he broke the silence and threw out a name. I loved it and that was that.
I have a friend who wants to name her baby Tuesday.

It sort of grew on me.

I also know a baby named Eunice. That one didn't so much...

The names you had chosen don't seem outlandish at all; they are cute. It's too bad that we have to let the men have input :)
Brady. I loved that name but for some reason it was big no.
My hubby and I had a very hard time with our baby names. I like the odd names you do not hear allot and he liked the country boy names. LOL

We ended up with....

Quentin Thomas
Desirae LeeAnn
Danica Eve
Memphis Jacoby

I have always loved the name Rainey, and he scratched that off the list real fast. My list of names were huge with each baby and my hubby looked at the lists for a few seconds and most got the veto.
:) I loved the name Danica when I was pregnant with my daughter but we ended up with a Maddison instead because my husband is the pickiest man on this planet.

When I got pregnant with my son it was even worse. I mentioned liking the name Ethan one day and that was just that. He wouldn't even give the other names I liked a chance.

Now every time we go to the park or we're at the store and call out the kids' names 20 other children turn around to look at us. LOL
We had a hard time settling on a name for our second son. Mostly because he would pick a name but I would veto it because of someone I know/once knew with the same name. And vice versa. Fortunately, we're both into traditional names so it wasn't too much of a battle:)
my husband vetoed every single name i threw out when we found out we were having a boy...we had already settled on a girl's name, however we weren't havin one! lol...FINALLY not too long before i was due he ok'd the very first name i had really wanted. figures, huh?
I know what you mean... I used to teach high school, so I have a lot of names that I will never use :)
