This year was the first time I attended Blogher and after coming back and hearing so much negativity I didn't know if I would want to go next year. But after careful thought, I decided nothing would keep me away. I can't wait for Blogher 2010.

What did you think of Blogher09?

This was also my first time attending and I really was scared and nervous. I'd heard a lot of the "stories" about cliques, etc and I just don't get into all that. I was very pleasantly surprised. I met so many people and everyone was very nice. If they didn't know who I was, they took a moment to find out who I was and exchange information.

I had a lot of interesting conversations with bloggers across the globe and I learned so much. I enjoyed putting a face to the name and blog. My only regret (besides not getting to meet you, Jennifer) was that I just didn't have enough time to get to everything I wanted to do or see.

I think the positives from BlogHer definitely outweighed the negatives and I've already signed up for BlogHer 2010.
Here is a post I just did about my experience:

I did not go to BlogHer. Before it happened I was so jealous of everyone that was going and was keeping my fingers crossed that I could go next year. During and right after I was suddenly feeling a bit apprehensive about the idea of going. With all of the negativity about so many aspects of the conference, parties etc I was beginning to think that BlogHer might not be a great fit for me. But like you, after some thought and reading some great (positive/thoughtful) posts from some women I respect, I am back to hoping I can attend next years conference.
I think it's a shame that people get such a negative perception of the Blogher Conferencejust because of a few bad apples...bad press is better than no press right?

I thought it was overwhelming, much bigger than last year but still absolutely amazing! I won't miss any of them no matter what. The networking with companies and meeting other bloggers/women is priceless.
I had a great time at BlogHer 2009, and am planning on attending again next year!
Well I have never been to a BlogHer conference. But I'm very interested. Especially since next year it'll be in home sweet NY. But for $350????? Do they hand out magic carpets? Can someone tell me what's allt he hy[e about BLogHer conferences so I can decide if it's woth it???
I heard about all of the negativity too and it seemed so daunting to me.

Then in the sea of what seemed like thousands, I met a few people who I had already connected with online and it was amazing.

You were one of them, Jennifer and there were several others. Everything just kind of fell into place after that. I enjoyed it and already bought my ticket for next year.
I did not get to go. I just started blogging, and even with the negative. I still have a dream of going next year. I would love it. I think the good would outweigh the bad. Plus I need to learn how to blog better! Im still learning everything is new and there is so much information to take in.
