I am new to the group and this is also a new blog. I have to confess I never used to watch my pennies until my daughter was born...now we don't have a choice....who knew babies could cost so much???? Ones that needed organ transplants are even pricier...well...atleast she is cute!

I am really new at this...can you tell me what stumble is? I don't have a twitter account but I guess I should...I will go look into that...and I would be happy to promote each others post...I am going to go to each one and start following. I love the idea!

As an aside...I am going to start a new blog - M.O.M. -- Mami on a McMission - I recently served dinner at the Ft. Lauderdale Ronald McDonald House which is our local "House". I spent a great deal of my daughter's first 2 years of life in Ronald McDonald Houses and they were a Godsend to us! I realized that this home does not have toys to give the children...after the holidays donations simply stopped. My mission is to donate a "Welcome Wagon" or "Treasure Chest"...as they have in the original Ronald McDonald House -- it is at the front when the kids come in so the first thing you see. Every child and sibling can pick any toy they want from the wagon for their first night away from home...usually the scariest night.

I started Swagbucks and will use those towards gift cards but I want to get this goal done before Dec. 29th. On this day my family will serve dinner at the home and I want to donate the wagon with tons of toys and toys throughout the year. (This is my daughter's transplant anniversary and I want to do this in honor of the family of our donor angel who gave us the GREATEST GIFT of all). Okay...I am writing tooo much..I have no idea how to create a button...if anyone knows how to do this, can teach me or create one for this new blog I would so appreciate it...this is the blog I really want to take off.

When I accomplish this goal I will focus on the Miami House and then work on my second dream...to be able to accommodate a birthday "party" ... simple cake and present for each birthday child staying at the Ronald McDonald House....having my baby's first birthday at the Ronald McDonald House was not what I had envisioned when I was pregnant.
