If so, did you start your blog with your own domain, or did you transition?

I own my domain too and am hosted by blogger.

How else can you blog if not by blogger? I mean - I know you are able to host with a commercial server - but what about the template and posting - how do you do that?
there's other services that are similar to blogger - i.e. typepad and wordpress.

I own my own domain through Yahoo Business. (Mom in the City was a website before I transitioned to a blog.)
I have domains for my two blogs - simplescrapper.com and starxlr8.com - as well as a personal domain I'm developing to consolidate my online and offline identities - jenniferswilson.com
i like the consolidation idea :-)

I'm with blogger and I my domain name is registered through Go Daddy. It's $10 a year. I switched during a time when the only people reading my blog were my sister and MIL so I didn't lose anyone in the redirection. I think Google/Blogger was partnered up with Go Daddy and they kind of chose them for me, which was fine because I knew nothing about domains (still don't!).
I bought mine last night through GoDaddy and set it up this morning... so far it seems to have been a very smooth transition. *phew* !!!

I bought my domain through GoDaddy a few weeks ago and it was insanely simple to set up. My blog is hosted on Blogger and it redirects right to my URL www.pinkvanillacupcakes.com. :) For $10, it's so worth it.
I totally agree... it was shockingly simple! I totally got myself worked up over nothing!!!

Cute blog, btw :-)
