I'm beginning to wonder if blogging is making me fat. I started blogging shortly after having my second child, and I'm still holding on to that extra "baby fat." Now that I am running two sites, I use my baby's nap time as work time, not work-out time, and when the work is finally done, I'm too exhausted to exercise! It's a vicious cycle!

Maybe my real problem is managing my time properly. (my house would agree)

How do you prevent weight gain when blogging requires so much sitting?

I think having a baby in general makes us fat. LOL.

Those little darlings suck up time like a vortex, and when you get that free time, you can only do one or two things before they wake up again. I found that I couldn't blog regularly because on a work day, I put the baby to bed after dinner and find that I'm too tired to do anything else but sleep, especially because I know I'll have to get up at 5:30 AM to drive the child to his babysitter and husband and I can go to work. Forget exercise. Then on the weekend, I do find time to blog, but by the time I get my groove on, the baby's awake and I have to put off folding the laundry for later. Again, forget exercise. :(

It's so hard! But I'm looking forward to the time where the child and I can coexist in a more me and him basis than how it is right now, which is him and him.
I never thought about it that way...I think I spend more time reading blogs that I do writing on my own. I think the only way to avoid it is to plan exercise with the baby in tow. Long walks/jogs with the baby in the stroller are good for both of us. And are you snacking while blogging? I've found that I'll absentmindedly eat while on the computer just because I can! Now that I'm avoiding that...it seems to be going better.
Um yes, my butt says it absolutely makes me fatter!

I need to find some sort of elliptical machine with a laptop holder. I am a mom of almost three, I need the kind of exercise that still allows me to multi task:)
I wake up before everyone else and head to the gym for Zumba class or yoga. And when I do dishes or work around the house, I listen to hip-hop on my iPod. Dancing while cleaning is an easy way to sneak in a little extra exercise. And it makes me actually look forward to cleaning!
I adore Zumba! I'm taking an instructor class this weekend!
I couldn't resist when I saw the title of this post. Haha! I agree. Unfortunately. I use my baby's nap time to blog too! I should get to a better routine to incorporate exercises...
I RAN today, can you believe it? I am dedicating the second nap to workout time, wish me luck. :)
*luck!* :)
I just started calorie counting. It's eye-opening, I am doing a 5 day trial at myfooddiary.com, not sure if I will subscribe or not. Good luck!
LOL I agree with you, before I started blogging I lost a lot, and since my new obsession of 2 blogs, and Etsy Shop I use all my free time for that. Or I'm blogging, or I'm making things for my shop, sure all of it involves lots of sitting LOL and in 5 months I haven't lost an ounce...ugh...
I guess I'm lucky in that I've never had to exercise or watch what I eat (don't hate me) :-) However, I know that I'm getting a lot less physical activity since I've started blogging. So do my kids. ;-)
I think that being sedentary does make you fat and we have to make an effort to move. I find that taking 30 minutes to exercise with my Wii is an easy way to incorporate movement. Naptimes are good times to do this and even with exercise I still have time to blog during naps.
