A 60 percent bounce rate is good!!!!! This means that half of the people who find your site actually stay on there.
I know a very popular successful website, which makes at least $9,000 in Adsense has a 80 percent bounce rate!!!
My bounce rate is slightly over 50 percent, and I hope it stays that way.

But you don't suck at ALL. 60 percent is pretty awesome. I know that we'd wish that everyone would stay on your blog, but the reality is, we usually only read what we want and we go somewhere else.

Look at how long people stay on your site. If they stay on it for at least 2 minutes, they are actually reading your content. They are not just getting there and popping away immediately. And 60 percent is better than 100 percent bounce rate, you know?

So perk up!

I have a "Page Range" of ZERO which really ticked me off! When I was on Blogger last year I had a 4. I expected to lose that when I moved to WP in August, but only until they redid the rankings. I get over 20,000 visits a month, have increased my following threefold since August, and have a bounce rate of 52.38 as of yesterday. Google's page ranking is a joke!

Good for you, Kristen. How awesome that you get so many visits. How long have you been blogging?

 

I agree - Google Page Rank really doesn't mean a thing anymore. In SEO circles, it's consistently losing value. People trust the Alexa page rank more these days, or so I think.

on blogger.com you can add 'stats'

it tells you # page views, traffic sources url links ect

thats what i use anyways.

I tried that google thing - it didn't show me anything - thought it was usless.

I have been blogging almost 3 years now. I know my Alexa is at just over 200,000 right now. And apparently there is a new ranking tool called MozRank- there I have the equivalent of a Google ranking of 5. I just wish the PR folks were aware of all of this

If you use Firefox as your browser, you can add Alexa Sparky...it let's you see the Alexa rating of all websites you are on, even your own.

 

It was interesting to watch my Alexa rating go down (Good thing...) day by day....

My google analystic is working - guess i needed to give it a couple of days to register ...

My google bounce back rate is about 65% ... is that any good?

Average of of 3min and 2.5 pages viewed. -- comments is that any good?
