We got our boys a black lab for Christmas. He's a very hyper puppy but we still love him.

My dog, Tanner, is a mix breed. She has American Bulldog, Lab, and Chow in her. She is a beautiful dog, loves the water, loves to think she is a lap dog (even though she weighs 65 pounds) and cuddles with the kids.

We don't have a dog and I didn't have one growing up. My kids say they would like one, but I'm not sure they would be thrilled with the work involved.
