Graphic Design questions

So glad I found this group - I am working on converting my blog from blogger to wordpress. I have a friend that might be helping me create a logo for my blog but then I was hoping I could take it over and continue doing my own designs for headers, badges, banners and other print materials, etc. Is there a basic/inexpensive software package or something online that anyone could recommend?

This on-line class might be helpful for you, they are inexpensive and very good for beginners.

They also offer a free 14 days trial. I am taking them now and wish I knew about them before I started blogging.

picmonkey.com and canva.com are two great free resources for making your own graphics

Gimp.org is an amazing program for beginning in graphic design. I am a graphic designer and that was where I started. It is totally free software and even has free available plug ins like psp and paintshop do. It is extremely user friendly as well.
