Has anyone set goals for 2009?

Every year on the first page of my journal I set goals for the new year methodically. I start with my walk with God, then my marriage, parenting, healthy living and ministry.

As I evaluated last year's I had to laugh. My parenting goal was to stop raising my voice at the kids haha! I failed - such agony of defeat! But on a few others I did okay!

So I'm wondering if you all set any goals and what a few may be?

I've been blogging about my new goals at www.womenlivingwell-courtney.blogspot.com

Today I wrote on my blog about goal number 4 regarding healthy living - my goal for the year is to run in a 5K race - I have never ran in a race before! I ran three miles last night and it was PAINFUL! Hope I get better by the March race date!

I look forward to hearing some of your thoughts!

I usually don't do resolutions but this year I did. I think putting them down on "paper" is going to help too.
mine are posted here
http://lookwhatmomfound.blogspot.com/2009/01/new-years-resolutions....

but this is what I put down
Do more for me! regular haircuts, more scrapbooking, more crafting, pedicures, weekend naps, shopping for something useless but fun just because, anything else that makes me happy at that moment
Get back on the healthy living routine. I've been so bad the last month, I've gained a few pounds, I feel tired, I'm unmotivated, I need to get back to wear I was over the summer with lots of fruit and veggies, yogurt, milk, healthier meals and exercise.
Do more crafts with Daycare kids. They love it but I'm being lazy.
Play more board games with MY kids and husband. Again just being lazy. We always have a good time once we start playing but its getting started that's difficult. The TV has to go off, the laptop closed and the baby in bed.
Be more affectionate with DH. He'd really appreciate this.
Stop biting my nails!! Its so gross I know but I've been doing it for as long as I can remember.
Blog more!
You have A LOT of good ones there - I love the "blog more!". Also, playing games with the kids. I am the same - once we get going we always have fun - but getting all the electronics turned off is not easy! Have a Happy New Year!
