I was reading an essay today in a really, really good book about a mom who is trying to teach her daughter that being too attached to money and material possessions is unhealthy because what happens if one day you lose it all. Of course, that made me think about blogging and I asked myself could I stop blogging today and be content. My answer is no.

What about you? Could you stop blogging today and be totally content with your decision?

I'm using my blog to document our lives. Somehow it's much easier to blog than to write in a journal or even type in a Word document. I don't know why. I would hate it if I couldn't do it anymore. I rarely have any visitors to my blog, but I really do enjoy it and I hope nothing ever happens to it. I need to start copying my posts to my computer in case it does, though.
its true i write in my blog more than in my sons baby book. i would be beyond sad if something happened to it. which gets me thinking... i would LOVE to turn my blog into some sort of coffee book as a keepsake. any ideas? anyone know of a company that does that for a reasonable price?
I don't want to give up my blog, but sometimes you don't have a choice in life. I think I could be content to blog less if that meant that I wouldn't have to give it up altogether.
It depends on the circumstances, but I think I could probably give it up. If I wasn't having fun anymore or if I thought the quality of my writing was slipping then yes, I would stop blogging. I'm very proud of my blog and am still having a blast after three and a half years, so I don't think I'll be quitting any time soon.
Very attached. Way too attached, LOL.

blogs are my babies. i have several i haven't used in years but i can't bring myself to shut them down.
Nope. Like Laura, I blog to document our lives, and unfortunately I'm an awful scrapbooker! I love going back over old posts and reading cute things my boys have said or done that I've forgotten about.
Really attached maybe even too attached. But it is a way to vent and let my mind speak. I could not stop blogging.

I think I would really miss it. I had a rough year last year and I used my blog as an outlet to focus on all of the positive things in my life and share my joy with others. Now I love reading the comments people leave, sharing memories with my friends and family and thinking about the next post!
I suppose I could, I just can't think of a reason why I would have to. My blog is hosted on a free site, and the library provides free internet access. I guess I don't see the connection to being attached to a material possession, because that's not how I view my blog. I view my blog as an effective way to interact with people and share my love for something, and being attached to that isn't unhealthy.
I've often thought about giving up my blog, but I just can't do it. I've put 2 1/2 years into it, and I'd feel bad if I stopped now.
NO! I never want to stop! ;)
