I would love to hear from anyone who has a good solution. I don't "follow", but I do subscribe to 125 blogs in Google Reader. I just don't have the time to keep up anymore.

Same here...I am subscribed to a bunch in google reader, and have a few that I get RSS feeds on in email, but really want to keep up with more of them...there's too much good writing out there to miss!

I use Google Reader like the other ladies here, but I organize mine in different folders. Friends, Mom Bloggers, Blogging (blogs about blogging), etc. Using the folders really helps me stay on top. I usually check my friends folder first and then move on to the others.

I have also found using Twitter is a good way to keep up with folks. A lot of bloggers tweet when they a have a new or interesting post.

I use Google Reader too but I'm thinking I need to pare down. I subscribe to too many!

I use Google Reader to read through them, then click on the individual posts to comment on them (not all, but say 50% at least). I also organize them in different ways

I have them in folders to read on different days, I usually can get an hour a day of peace while the little ones are sleeping. Sometimes I can't get to all of them, but I do try, it really helps my sanity most days as i'm usually home alone with the little ones all day.

I tend to go through the emails (I always forget about reader). I know I don't get to as many blogs as I would like to per day, but I do try to at least return comments, or email with a response. Everyday I hope to do more, but it doesn't always end up that way!

I also use google reader and have my subscriptions organized into categories, but I only have less than a dozen. I couldn't possibly read everyone! I also subscribe to the news but at the moment I have 770 messages! I wish the news papers would only send out the headlines once a day...

I agree it is import to leave comments on the ones your read and the posts that really strike your fancy. It always feels good to get mail...

As a single mom working full-time & in school, I don't have near enough time to read all the blogs I follow/subscribe to, but when I get "notice" that a new post has been added to a blog, I glance at it & if it is something that really pertains to me or something I'm really interested in then I'll read the whole post. I hope that's not being mean, but I know everybody who follows me doesn't have time to read every one of my posts. I don't know of any other way to do it.

I'm with ya on this, I will glance at the blogs I follow and if it grabs me I read the full post, except for a few blogs I adore who gets my full attention always. It's the only way ALL the blogs I follow get read;)

I have my google reader split up into two catergories.

*Blogs I like to read
*Giveaway blogs

I try and read Blogs I like to read everyday... the giveaway blogs are not so important to me.
I read them at work.. and sometimes on my Black Berry, however it is not very user friendly that way.

I e-mail follow a few of them (about 15) and that keeps me busy first thing in the morning.
