My blog is primarily product related. I have an old blog post that a certain group of people are hitting every day trying to campain against. While the comments are not entirely off topic, they are not really about that product but against the industry in general.
While I support their message, to an extent, it's the extremist attitude that I have a hard time with and will not support or let remain published.
As of today, I have unpublished the post (temporarily) so that they go away. I don't want to have 'that kind of site' and work hard to keep it spam, hate and random comment free. The only person they are really effecting with the comments are me because of the time it takes to review and remove them.
I am wondering what other bloggers are doing with their comments and policies in regards to political or activist comments. It's not spam (although they are trying to sell a message), it's not entirely off topic but at the same time, they are quite negative comments and the posters are clearly from people who are out to comment/spread their message in general and are not just responding that they don't like the product.
Thanks in advance for your thoughs! Karen
