In response to the # of comments discussion: Do you reply back to your comments?

I try to respond back to all my comments even if it's just to thank the commenter for stopping by my blog. Do you reply back to your comments? How do you do this - on your site or via email?

I try to do this as much as I can, but since I use the dreaded Blogger it's harder to respond than it is with Typepad and Wordpress. Then again, I don't get many comments anyway unless they're entering a giveaway.

I try to respond on my blog and go leave a comment for them on theirs.

I try to visit the blog (and leave a comment) for everyone who leaves a comment, but on giveaway posts, that's not always possible.

I email back if I can (I get a lot of NoReplyBloggers!) and I always try to return the comment love by visiting their site!

I do try to reply to each and every commentor and to visit their site if possible
If the person asks something more personal and I am not willing to share it publicly I would email her back.

I try to reply to all comments (except giveaway entries). I also go back and leave messages on the blogs (of bloggers who leave comments.)

Honestly unless I connect with or have a response to the comment I don't though I know that I probably should.

Like you, I try to respond to all comments even if it is just to say thanks. There have been a few times I haven't gotten to a comment, but I try to make sure to always go to the commenter's blog and comment.

I don't reply to every comment but I do, visit their blogs, comment on their blogs, drop my entrecard, stumble their blogs, re-tweet their tweets etc...

I try to show love to those who visit me if I can - but I don't always have a direct response to their comments.

DUH! Didn't even think about dropping a entrecard. Thanks for that idea.

I try to respond but I think Jenni said it, I get a lot of non-reply so I try to at least go to their blog and comment. I want to move over to WP so bad so I can do that comment to the comment thingy. One day...one day.

I used to send emails to new commenters, but I have gotten lazy and I don't do it as much anymore. I always reply in the comment section. However, if it is personal or comment that needs attention I will send an email. I do try to leave a comment on their blog. But I feel bad that I only leave one comment on their blog to possibly never return to it. I don't want to get in the habit of 'I will only comment on your blog, if you comment on mine.' I can't possibly keep up with everyone's personal blog that follows mine. I would like to, but I can't.
